Nminus10 is a band that strives to seamlessly blend the power and attack of modern day rock with the intricacy and melody of more contemporary rock bands. Jonny fronts the band with his powerful and compelling rhythm guitar and forceful melodic vocals while Sean powers the dynamics of each individually crafted song with his dazzling yet subtle lead guitar. Meanwhile, in the powerhouse, Kev provides the funk and lower end with the Bass, locking perfectly with Lozz’s involved yet always powerful and commanding, drumming. The result is an array of sounds that is nothing short of pure synergy. Sometimes emotional, sometimes uplifting, always groovy and ever powerful. Nminus10 in short, are melodic rock with a groove!
Formed back in 2001, Nminus10 began life as four complete strangers pulled together by pure chance as a result of nothing more than going to the same university. Having no idea of each other’s abilities they tentatively organised a rehearsal. It wasn’t amazing, it wasn’t pure brilliance; it wasn’t even that tight. But there was something there, something right. The magic had started!
After a great deal of frustration, a lot of rehearsing, gigs scattered here and there, three lead guitarists, a couple of geographical moves from here to there - to here again, a drummer who decided to break his elbow at thee most inconvenient time and a couple of three day recording sessions, Nminus10 has reached a level of ability and quality that you cannot ignore. See them live and you will be impressed; that much is guaranteed!
So what’s in store for Nminus10? Nminus10, with the help of some very good people, is building a gigging portfolio to run through the year-end and into 2004. In the latter half of that year, plans will be well underway to begin a UK tour and start offering the general population the Nminus10 treatment!
It’s our job to inject some originality into British Rock!
