THORIA
Thoria are a three piece band from Coventry. They consist of:

Martin - Vocals/Guitar
Mike - Bass
Tom - Drums

When it come to finding the perfect partner, they always say the quiet ones are the ones to watch. Well if you can apply the same theory to musicians, then Thoria are set to become one of the most exciting British rock bands to emerge in aeons.

While bands explode out of nowhere and promptly disappear faster than a flash of lightning when the punter has realised it's all hype and no substance; the three lads that make up Thoria have done things slightly differently.

Thoria have spent their time creating and defining their unique musical trip, refraining to expose themselves until the time was just right, and that time is now.

Restrained for years through the confines of living in Coventry, a city renowned for little more than its Cathedral and bombing in WWII, Thoria's one collective ambition was to make music which excited the masses, and took its creators as far as possible away from that same city.

From the frustrations of day-to-day insular habitual lifestyles, and their love for guitar-based music, Thoria have created a sound that's both heart-soaked and melodious and yet an angst-ridden affair.

2001 saw Thoria get off to a great start after both Rock Sound magazine and Org Records picked up on the band's 6 track mini album, ‘Worry Dolls’. The former hailed Thoria as the future of rock music after being featured as 'ones to watch for 2001', describing them as a mix of early Nirvana, Sebadoh and Slipknot - while the latter described the band as the next My Vitriol.

Now determined for success on their own label, Red Crust, Thoria released their debut album, ‘Love Sick’, in August 2002, following on from the TV success of their cracking single ‘I Got Satan’, and the Kerrang! single of the week, ‘Keep Em In The Attic’.

Unafraid to combine passion and negativity, driving riffs and pounding rhythms, with schizophrenic vocals courtesy of Martin, Thoria have gone against the norm and produced an album that stands out from the quagmire of wannabes currently doing the rounds.

Now the real fun starts for Thoria as the trio leave the ring-road of Coventry and begin their aural assault on unsuspecting audiences anywhere and everywhere.
